Virginia Austin Archer

Virginia Austin was born February 16, 1912 to Archie and Ethel Denney Austin in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the second child and had an older brother, Robert Austin. She always said she grew up on the west side because that was where the working class lived. She was always very athletic and could always give any of the boys a run for there money.

She had red hair and baby blue eyes, but along with the red hair came the temper and she was feared because of it. She loved to dance and loved to go to Saltair and Lagoon. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ, but usually attended church by herself. She attended West High School and graduated in 1929. She went on and graduated from LDS nursing school where she worked as the head nurse at LDS hospital for many years.

She met her eternal companion Don K Archer at the hospital while he was visiting one of his friends, she told him that visiting times were over and he needed to leave, from that point they were very seldom apart from each other.
